Feedback received to reflect the 2014/15 season

Just thank you very much - the atmosphere at the club is always welcoming and supportive and the coaching is fantastic - thank you

We would like to thank those who responded to our End of Season Junior Feedback survey in April. We received 42 responses in all. Below is a brief summary of the findings:

Overall, members felt that the fees, coaches, training venues, communication, training times and overall experience were very good with the majority rating these as 4 out of 5.
Quotes included:
"The club is great, my child loves coming to training"
"My children have all really enjoyed being members and have great respect for those that give up their time to coach them"

What did members enjoy most?
It was clear that the majority of juniors enjoy playing in competitive matches and tournaments. Making friends, training and playing in the Badgers team also featured in the feedback.

What did members least enjoy?
Members wanted more opportunities to play in competitive matches - something which the age group coaches will be seeking to address for the 2015/16 season. Other factors included the cold weather, joining in the warm up when arriving late and fitness sessions.

Will you be returning next season?
88% of juniors will be returning next season. Reasons for 'unsure' were attributed to not playing as many competitive matches as hoped and ensuring that training and matches will be attended to ensure the membership is not wasted.

What are the areas for improvement?

Feedback was identified by the following themes:
  • More competitive opportunities
  • Understanding of progression (i.e. feedback, opportunities to play badgers etc)
  • Review the players of the week reward system

The junior committee will be working hard to address the areas for improvement for the 2015/16 season.
