Summary of the discussion points and the Ladies club committee meeting on the 10th July 2017

Match fees payment options
• 12 people responded to the survey with a mixed response
• Agreed not to implement incorporating match fees into subs and to offer instead a BACS payment option by team like the 1st team did last year

Training times for the 2017-18 season
• We have agreed with Wyndley to hire the pitch for an additional hour on a Tuesday evening
• 6-7pm Under 16 girls & development GKs
• 7-8pm 5s,6s & 7s on half a pitch / 3s & 4s on half a pitch / performance GKs in the cage
• 8-9pm - 3s & 4s & stronger 5s in half a pitch / 1s & 2s in half a pitch / 5s, 6s & 7s in the cage
• 9-10pm - 1s & 2s with half a pitch each

Coaching
• Club training will be shared between Kath, Robin, Dave, Dan & Matt who were all involved last season and are happily committed to supporting the extra training time
• Dudders and Batsford will continue to do a fantastic job of the GK coaching
• Dudders will also continue to coach the 2nd team after a very well received 1st season
• Fantastic news that Mandy will coach the 1st team

Match day pitch times
• The additional team means that we will need to accommodate additional home games in some weeks of the season
• To manage this we will look to move the Vesey slots half an hour earlier and use an additional slot towards the end of the day
• Elaine will look to share out the early and late games across the season and work with the leagues to ensure we have the capability to fit in all the fixtures

Indoor
• We have agreed with Sutton Girls the same set up as last season with club indoor training on a Thursday night 8-9pm games in the school hall and 9-10pm hockey in the sports hall
• Sutton Girls is not available for the indoor squad training due to a netball booking, looking at alternative options

Sponsorship
• Team is made up of Finnegan, Eli, Jess & Dave
• Sarah to request support for the wolf run on the 3rd September which is good fun and easy money for the club
• Jess is working on a document to share with potential sponsors
• Dave has a contact who can produce banners that we can place at the side of the pitch
• Team are following a number of lines of enquiry with local and national businesses

Social events for the coming season
• 7th October - team games (2s & 4s)
• 2nd December - Christmas social (1s & 5s)
• 10th Feb - team quiz (3s & 6s & 7s)
• 17th March - ladies dinner

Club day
• Saturday 2nd September @ Vesey 11am - 2pm
• Series of 30 minute 11 aside games and then moving into mixed smaller games
• The 1s are looking for opposition for a friendly game to take place afterwards at 2pm

Fitness
• In August there will be open fitness sessions for the total club,, days & times to be confirmed

Welfare
• No child protection issues since the last meeting
• A number of courses required to be completed at the start of the season
• Karen to follow up with requests to relevant individuals once captains are confirmed

Umpires
• Umpires to become social members of the club so that they are covered by the club insurance
• Sam to look at changing the membership name to non-player rather than social

Data protection
• Members of a club now have to opt in to receive information via newsletters & emails
• Sandra to add the opt in option to the membership form

Kit & equipment
• Waiting on confirmation of availability to order of the long sleeve shirts to communicate
• Captains to do a club equipment inventory before the start of the season
• Sam to do a check on ice packs and re-order
• Receiving some balls from England hockey
• Review at the start of the season whether there is a requirement for additional GK kit

Comms
• Aiming with the men's club to try and set up a stronger relationship with the Sutton Observer
