Well done to all who took part and donated

On Saturday 8th December the Men’s 1XI took on the challenge to cycle the equivalent of Birmingham to Paris in a sponsored static bike ride to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Inspired by club coach Richard Nicklin whose nephew is being treated for leukaemia at Birmingham Children’s Hospital the lads spent approximately 10 hours in the saddle in shifts to cover the 312 mile distance. They had two road bikes set up on static bike trainers to accurately measure the distance travelled and took shifts to get to the target.

A huge thanks to the generosity of club members and everyone else who donated £200 in cash on the day and over £300 via Richard’s Just Giving page. This was just the first of Nicker’s fundraising events, so there is plenty of time for you still to make a donation here.
