School age children registration with Pitchero

There have been a number of questions relating to how school age players register on the web site through Pitchero and some confusion specifically for those in the Under 16 age group as to which payment product to select. This is because year 11s pay a different rate to year 10s, but both are eligible to play U16s. It is therefore simpler to work out the correct rate based on the school year your child is in.
Please see the attached document for what we hope is a clear explanation.
Can we also request that you fill in the dates of birth so that we can identify our U14, U16 and U18 players for the upcoming England Hockey Competitions.

Paying a subscription to the Men's club allows you access to Wednesday training at Wyndley, 7-8:30pm.

Players in school years 10-13
Players in years 10-13 can set up their own profile and populate the database with relevant information including email address, consents etc.
Parents or guardians can also set up a profile and apply to be the parent of a child with their own profile, which the web admin can then approve. This allows a payment made by a parent to be allocated to the correct player. See the link below for help in doing this.
The Junior section does NOT accommodate players in years 10-13 and therefore subscriptions are paid to the Men’s section only.
As members of the Men’s section you WILL be contacted about playing England Hockey competitions in the relevant age groups. Under 18s is years 12-13, Under 16s is year 10-11.
Subscriptions
Players in years 11-13 should select “2018-19 Men’s student / unemployed”
Players in year 10 should select “2018-19 Men’s Junior NOT paying junior club subs”
Players NOT paying a subscription to Junior Club
School year Age Age group Subscription rate
Year 13 17,18 U18 Student £240.00
Year 12 16,17 U18 Student £240.00
Year 11 15,16 U16 Student £240.00
Year 10 14,15 U16 Junior, not paying junior club sub £190.00

Players in school years 8-9
Players in school years 8 and 9 may be members of both the Junior section AND the Men’s section or members of the Men’s section only, or members of the Junior section only.
If you wish your child to play Saturday hockey, including Badgers matches, they will need to be a member of the Men’s section, whether or not they are also a member of the Junior section
Year 8-9 players cannot set up their own profile on Pitchero and so we ask parents or guardians to register and they can then set up their children. This allows the parent and guardian to manage their child’s account.
How do parents or guardians complete their registration?
Please use the attached link to assist with registration
https://help.pitchero.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004552094-How-do-parents-complete-the-registration-form-when-joining-my-website-
Parents or guardians should NOT register as a player (unless they are). When registering please use your own name and NOT your child. You can add your children to your profile.
Year 8-9 subscriptions
Parents of the year 8-9 players should select one of the following two options:
“2018-19 Men’s junior NOT paying Junior club subs” if your child is to be playing Senior hockey only - Saturday games and Wednesday training.
“2018-19 Men’s Junior paying BOTH Junior and Men’s club subs” if you are paying the Junior section a subscription (Sunday training) and your child is to be playing Senior hockey - Saturday games (including Badgers) and Wednesday training.
Players NOT paying Junior section subs
School year Age Age group Subscription rate
Year 9 13,14 U14 Junior not paying Junior subs £190.00
Year 8 12,13 U14 Junior not paying Junior subs £190.00
Players paying a subscription to BOTH Junior and Senior sub
Year 9 13,14 U14 Junior paying both Junior and senior sub £90
Year 8 12,13 U14 Junior paying both Junior and senior sub £90

A note on Badgers hockey
This is a great introduction to senior hockey as sides have a maximum of 3 adults. Children can play Badgers from the age of 12 and both boys and girls play together.
The badgers team is run by the Men’s section on behalf of the club, so if your daughter or son wants to play then you would take out a Men’s section subscription at the appropriate rate. Girls would subscribe to the Ladies section when they are ready to move to the senior league teams.
