It was a tight start to this match. Sutton Coldfield found themselves immediately on the attack and within minutes Jake Nicholls' superb reverse stick strike but the hosts in the lead. At the other end of the pitch however, North Notts found chances coming their way. One shot was desperately saved on the line by defender Tom Beasley. Not long after North Notts capitalised on some mistakes from a 16. A forward deftly taking round the keeper and slotting it into the open goal. Sutton Coldfield rallied strong however and soon were back on the attack. Mark Richardson carried the ball from defence into the opposition half, striking the ball into the D, Isaac Mackey coolly deflected the ball past the keeper. 2-1 at half time. The second half brought more pressure on North Notts. Lewis Chatham immediately turned the ball over to Sutton and was on the attack. He scored within seconds. Sutton Coldfield must have had maybe 20 short corners but despite some elaborate passing in and around the D could not find the shots to beat the North Notts keeper, a keeper that denied Sutton on many other occasions in the match. Sutton continued to mount pressure though and North Notts found no answer to some good pressing. Isaac Mackey and Ralph Brocklebank added further goals to complete convincing 5-1 win.
