Could have been a good game
By Bill Heywood
Hard to take any positives
It should have been an enjoyable game in glorious Spring sunshine. Sadly the weather was the only good thing about it.
In the first half Sutton had a penalty for a foot on the line not given from a Simon Willis short corner. Steve Potter also had a goal disallowed.
Worcester took the lead in the second half from a short corner, Jo Hughes on the post had the shot covered until captain Bill Heywood took out his stick with a kicker. The home side went 2 ahead when a foot by their player at the top of the D was missed. Their 3rd took place whilst Sutton were down to 10 men for a green card.
Sutton did get a consolation goal near the end with Oli Gray-Nimmo getting his 4th of the season but the damage was already done.
M3 were left feeling disgruntled. They have a rearranged home game against Warwick M3 on 6 April, win lose or draw it is bound to be a happier experience.
