On Sunday we welcomed Leamington, Sikh Union, Warwick and Rugby to our Sutton Coldfield 7 a-side tournament. Despite storm Desmond, the morning went really well. Well done to all the Sutton teams that took part:
U10s: Sutton B: 2nd place, Sutton A: 4th place
U12s: Sutton A: 4th place, Sutton B: 3rd place
U14s: Sutton A: 5th place, Sutton B: 4th place
A big thank you to all those that baked delicious cakes too at Vesey - they were rather tasty! We raised £110 - £20 donated by Georgina Day who held her own cake sale!
The junior club have donated £50 to The Myton Hospices that cared for Andy Woolford (late husband of Vicky Woolford - Ladies 1st X1 player) and will send the remaining £60 to their son James for Christmas.
We would also like to say a big thank you to all the umpires, volunteers and helpers who helped coordinate and organise the day, especially Mandy Davies.
