Early July sees the release of the fixtures for the coming MRHA 2019/20 season and for the 4th XI it appears that instead of falling short they have been rewarded with promotion from Southwest 2 to Northwest 1.

Not only does this produce a fresh set of opposition but it also provides a greater challenge for a team who last year had the best defensive record in the league.

Competition for places was at a premium last year and with an anticipated fresh influx of new recruits expected, the 4s hope to be well placed to take on this new challenge.

Central to this this success will be the mixture of youth and experience that saw them sit comfortably towards the top of the table for most of the year.

Skipper Ian Harding added, “whilst this does represent a step in level I’m confident that with good availability from our more experienced players we can both bring on our exciting youth and talent, and hold our own in North West 1”.

This brings local games such as Aldridge & Walsall M2 and also a long trip to Buxton.
