Safeguarding
• All coaches and 1 player per team to have hockey DBS (safeguarding check).
• If any vulnerable players need mentoring, please refer to Karen Slater.

Coaching
• Captains meeting to be held on Mon 30th Sept at Clubhouse.
• Coaches all now in place. 1s Dudders, 2s Lisa Prince, 3/4/5s Matt Florida-James, Matt Jones & Roger Hill, 6/7s Doug Cave & Rob McCleish.
• Positive feedback from first training sessions, especially with a focus on intensity of training from 3-7s.
• GK recruitment drive has resulted in some potential keepers for WWHL teams.

Treasurer
• Fundraising – use football cards to raise money at home games.
• Fantasy hockey starting 21st Sept. Details on Pitchero of how to sign up and take part, £4 entry done on the payments part of the website/app.
• Elite squad strength & conditioning sessions at Birmingham Uni will be set-up as Pitchero payments for players involved.
• New match sheets have been created this season to monitor regular/casual players, mileage claims & fantasy league information. These must be sent to Sam by Monday after each game, including friendlies.

Socials
• Draft social calendar has been put together. Look out for upcoming events on social media.

Comms
• Fixtureslive has now been integrated with Pitchero, so all fixtures now appear. There has been an issue with some times syncing to the website, but Pitchero are fixing this.
• If there are any new players who are not receiving the ladies newsletters or SCHC text messages, please let Becky Florida-Hopson know so you can be added to mailing lists.
• Team allocations on Pitchero are still based on last season’s squads, new squads will be updated following the next captains’ meeting on 30th Sept.
• New club social media challenge ‘newkitselfie’ will be starting soon, details to follow.

Kit & equipment
• One new GK kit and new training balls have been purchased for the club. There will also be crates for the balls and new bibs shortly.
• Some spare kit is available for new players. Becky Batsford-Webb is coordinating stock and will speak to new players about purchasing the kit bundle.
• Club is looking to purchase portable dugouts for use at Wyndley.

Fixtures
• All league fixtures are now on website and Fixtureslive with times.

Umpires
• Jo Carpay will be allocating umpires from 21st Sept. If anyone is available or keen to start umpiring, please contact Jo.

Membership
• New members have been allocated to correct Pitchero packages & registered on Fixtureslive and respective leagues.

AOB
• Whole-club Indoor sessions to start on Thurs 19th Sept, first one will be fun games and hockey all together then a tournament will run from Thurs 26th Sept. until half-term. November-December is 1st XI indoor, then from the end of Jan the whole club sessions will start again. Sessions are being coordinated by Jo Carpay, Becky Moore & Sophie Poxon.
• There is new lady doing teas, Liv Briscoe. Please encourage teams to come back for teas.
• Formal thank yous to men’s committee members: Matt Jones (men’s treasurer) for all his hard work on the kit and sponsorship, Peter Westbrook for organising the inter-club tournament & paella and post club-day BBQ.
• Thank you to Sam Phipps, Sandra Westbrook, Becky Batsford-Webb and Becky Florida-Hopson for their hard work on subscriptions, membership, kit and Pitchero in preparation for the season.
