The 1st September 2021 was a very convient time to place the history of both the Sutton Coldfield Women's Hockey Club and the Men’s Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club into one history record, as both Clubs were in the process of amalgamation into one Club covering the Men’s, Women's and Junior hockey.

This coincided with England Hockey combining all UK hockey under one umbrella, so that all hockey is played under one set of rules and one management structure for all 8 UK regions for the 2021 - 22 season.

Therefore, the history of these two Clubs is in 3 parts:

• Part 1 – Sutton Coldfield Men’s Hockey Club.
• Part 2 – Sutton Coldfield Women's Hockey Club, which includes Junior Hockey.
• Part 3 – The Joint Club’s history will be recorded from the 1st September 2021.

The information in the early years is very sketchy, even newspaper held in the Sutton Library are very limited to none existence
