Welcome to Flyerz Hockey at Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club
Inclusive Hockey for All – Free, Fun, and For Everyone!
Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club is proud to introduce Flyerz Hockey – an exciting, inclusive, and completely free hockey initiative open to children and adults of all abilities. Delivered in partnership with Access Sport, Path to Paris, England Hockey, and Midland Mencap, Flyerz Hockey offers pan-disability hockey sessions that welcome everyone, regardless of age, experience, or ability.
Whether you're new to the sport or have played before, Flyerz Sutton Coldfield invites you to be part of a vibrant, supportive community where fun, friendship, and fitness come first. Sessions are designed to be accessible, enjoyable, and flexible, using adapted equipment and coaching methods to meet the needs of all participants – including those with physical, learning, sensory, and hidden disabilities.
What Is Flyerz Hockey?
Flyerz Hockey is England Hockey’s national grassroots program focused on making the sport accessible to disabled and non-disabled players alike. It promotes pan-disability hockey – bringing together individuals with a wide range of abilities in inclusive sessions that are designed to foster confidence, skill development, and social connections.
Started in 2011, the movement has since grown to include a growing network of Flyerz clubs across the UK. Sutton Coldfield is proud to be only the second Flyerz club in the West Midlands, joining Harborne Flyerz in bringing truly inclusive sport to our community.
When and Where?
Flyerz sessions at Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club will run every other Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Royal School, Reddicap Heath Road, B75 7DY. Each session kicks off on every second Wednesday, and we are excited to welcome new players from across the region.
