One nil down at half time and then on to win the game 8-1! 6th XI Captain Marc Norton sums up a strong season.

The 6th XI this year had a mixed bag of results, where at Christmas we were sat in the 2nd promotion spot but come the end of the season we had
been pipped to 3rd place and left to enjoy next season with the intention of going at least one place better.

This gives encouraging signs for the teams above as we have moved a lot of young personnel on and replace them with players of equal talent and heart.

A big win early on in the season was a 9-0 victory away at Warwick, with us having to endure two seemingly unfathomable yellows, Also on the goal front no less than three players getting double figures with the team scoring being more important than any single individual. Some high points were being one nil down at half time away at Solihull Blossomfield only to comeback to win 8-1 courtesy of four goals by Ben Green.

Captains keep your eye on the next crop of youngsters that are sure to come from the 6th’s. On a personal note I’d like to thank all those that have played for the 6th’s this season for making my life so easy this year.
