Welfare

• Thank you to the welfare team for their ongoing work in supporting all our members.

• Good luck to all teams continuing with EH Super League and Midlands matches.
• We have been discussing the junior structure and how to share the volunteer load. If you have some time available to support the club, please do get in touch!

Senior Section

• All teams are now well underway with league matches. The men’s 1s and women’s 4s are currently sitting at the top of their leagues, but there have been some tough starts for a number of teams. The men’s 9th XI has been taken out of the league due to reduced player numbers and the 8th XI re-named as the development team. The women’s 7th development team has had a very successful start to the season, thank you to Lisa Lee for all her work on this.
• The goal-keeper specific training for both performance and club level GKs has been working really well, thanks to everyone for engaging with the programme.

Finance & Subscriptions

• Thank you to everyone who has already set up their 2026/27 membership subscriptions. There are now very few unpaid subscriptions and match fees. If you have any queries, please email membershio@suttoncoldfieldhv.co.uk

Socials

• There is a Volunteers’ Meal on Monday 9th November, 7:15 for 7:30pm start at the Clubhouse. The subsidised cost is only £5 for a delicious 3-course meal provided by MAB, the menu is on Pitchero when you go to pay. A huge thank you to all our volunteers.
• There is a Quiz night on Friday 20th November and a Christmas Social on Saturday 12th December, both at the Clubhouse. Pop the dates in your diaries now! More details to follow.

Kit

• Please continue to email kit@suttoncoldfieldhc.co.uk with any playing kit requests. We await delivery of the September shirt order, now expected towards the end of November. • Mizuno women’s XS shorts have recently been added to the list of kit items we hold in stock.
• A reminder that £30 S1S vouchers for off-pitch kit items are offered to all our volunteers.

AOB

• Thank you to everyone who attended the SCHC Umpires Event on Monday 28th September. Jo Carpay-Windsor is looking into exciting umpire development plans to have ready for next season.
• A reminder about the ANPR cameras that are now in place at Wyndley - please remember to enter your car registration in the machines in the leisure centre for 4 hours free parking.
• We are pleased to share that Pitchero have introduced event-based availability, meaning you can now set availability for a specific match/training session not have to just put the whole day as yes/no. We would like players to utilise this, so please go through and amend availability of there are any days where you are available for one session but not another.
• We are keen to encourage more performance players to support other areas of club and junior coaching. If you would like to get involved or have ideas about ways to encourage players, please speak to your club captains.
