Hot-shots, High flying and How does she run that fast?

With slightly fewer managers on the sideline this time around, the mighty pinks were ready and raring to go, especially seeing as this the urn was there on time this week.

Speaking of the urn, never let Carpay make you a coffee. She needed to be locked up for that monstrosity. No wonder the umpires were in a bad mood. Well, that and there was no parking… anywhere. Everyone was late.

Things got back on track though and despite the sprinklers being weird all was running smoothly.

Whistle to start and boom… goals straight away for Sutton.

After a flurry of passes everywhere on pitch, Sutton regained possession through Enya. Enya then linked with Elo. Who linked with Sue. And Sue did Sue things to feed McCabe who in one touch nutmegged the keeper. 1-0.

Next up some nice play down the right-hand side of the pitch saw Groves feed in Mollie, who outpaced everyone around her to win a penalty corner. Next thing we know Manning is on the scoresheet… again. 2-0.

After that, things settled down. There were more chances and quick breaks (mainly Mollie).

Nothing much more happened other than our forwards having a fair few chances each and Jo squashing any sniffs Leicester had. 2-0 at half time.

Second half and again not much more other than plenty of attacks from Sutton. No more goals though as that last pass just ran away or that last touch gave a defender hope.

It wasn’t until Vicky was allowed to walk into the circle and shoot uncontested that another goal was scored. 3-0.

A weird 5 minutes followed where everyone forgot where the goal was. Aiming above, left, right… they surely would’ve gone under if that was possible.

Leicester had got one back at some point, but I genuinely couldn't tell you when or what that was. But their second came from a last-minute PC… and after a double save from Jo the third snuck in.

Final score 3-2 and Sutton completed the double on Leicester. MOM was shared between Freya and Manning, then went to Enya… don’t ask just don’t go in the shower at the same time. Fairbrother’s fun fact answer was 4,600 years old, the Bristolcone pines in the USA.
