Sutton 2s stepped on the pitch against Olton looking for a big 3 points in the latter stage of the season. The warm up saw our DOD rainbow cap make its debut, modelled by DOD enthusiast, Chloe. Sutton started strong, linking passes together across the pitch and playing at a high intensity. Beth opened the score line with a cracking shot at a tight angle, 1-0! The goal further lifted the team and some lovely passes down the left from Flo and Scooby led to Beth crossing the ball for a Jasper deflection, 2-0! After a super first half, a team talk from Lisa who has ditched the etch a sketch, motivated Sutton for the 2nd half.

2-0 is a dangerous score so the Mighty Pinks kept pushing in the 2nd half. A competitive tackle saw both Beth and an Olton player sent off for 2 mins. As soon as the 2 mins was up, Beth stormed back onto the pitch and scored a breakaway goal! The defence worked tirelessly and transferred the ball superbly throughout the game, linking up with the midfield and forward line. Olton scored a corner for 3-1, they tried to get back into the game but Ira made some amazing saves to keep them out. Jess won a corner (a few boos for the umpire) and scored a lovely deflection to make the final score 4-1! A fantastic performance from everyone today and 3 important points to place Sutton in 4th place, well done!
