Two requests were made by Captain Serious during the pre-match team talk: 1
Score goals (including am early goal) 2. Keep a clean sheet (for birthday girl Dannie).
The team obliged, starting off with a goal in the first minute for the 2nd game in a row. A well worked goal, finished by Becky Wootton, gave the team confidence to play the ball around and fed their hunger for more goals.
Sutton's persistence in front of goal didn't prove fruitful but they did not give up the push for more goals. A second goal in the second half, a second from Becky W, meant the team could relax and have more confidence dealing with the odd Bournville break.
Mappy's clunking header towards the end of the game fortunately seems to have escaped the need for concussion protocols. The comedy dive by the spectator unfortunately wasn't captured on camera.
Solid individual performances all over the pitch made MoM a tough decision but huge congratulations to Georgie Randall for some confident, calm defending, earning her the award this week. With another 3 points in the bag, the team celebrated with the best teas in the league.
