It was a well played game by everyone on the field against a good Berkswell and Balsall side. Charlie got DOD for being late (again) to the match. MOM went to Daisy for a very solid defense against a fast offense. The first goal of the game went to them, but was disallowed when it was challenged based on one of their players releasing her sticks into the air. It was a reasonable challenge by Captain Tracey and the goal was called back. Emily came back to score a well executed goal from a short corner. A well placed layoff left gave her the chance to slip it passed the goalie. The opposition bounced back a few minutes later with a goal of their own. On the next short we were able to repeat the layoff left option again and this time Jen scored. We went into half time with a lead. We came back out with lots of energy in the second half and pushed hard for more goals but they were able to get another one past us. It was an energetic last 10 minutes of play with possession shared between the two teams. The game ended at 2-2 but with a satisfied team that had put in a great effort out on the field.
