The badgers got off to a poor start and were 2 goals down after the Edgbaston centre forward broke through and smacked 2 well hit shots past Archie. Sutton rallied and after some great defensive from the 2 Henrys, Jeevan, Archie, Sam and Luke combined an strong spell of possession for Archie to convert into Sutton’s first goal.

Sutton started the 2nd half with a passion invigorated from the half time team talk, they held possession with Tom Sam Reena Luke & Nick passing well and making in-roads into the Edgbaston defence. Unfortunately Edgbaston did have an adult playing in defence which allowed them after play had broke down to respond on break and score a further 2 goals. Sutton stepped up their defence and solid blocking from Zach Dan and Chloe allowed the Defence to feed the midfield and forwards to push on and score 3 goals(Alfie, Nick & Sam) to bring it all neck and neck.

Sadly, even though Sutton had the lions share of play they concede 2 further goals on the break which was the final score at the end of play. It is worth noting that all Edgbaston goals were scored by a single player without which the result would have been considerably different and the score line did not reflect the excellent performance from both last years Badgers and this years newcomers to the team.
