After 18 months of sustained effort, we have at last started to work on refurbishing our Clubhouse (Pavilion). To arrive at this start point we have already spent over £50,000 on emergency or refurbishment enabling work. The aim is to make the Clubhouse a safe, modern and welcoming home for all our members. We also want it to be more appealing to people who want to hire the building. We would like the Clubhouse to become a valuable source of income for both hockey and cricket clubs aiding their sustainability.
The upgrades include:
The main contractor is Paul Eadon who has already carried out works for us and will be carrying out the works during March and April 2026
To fund the work, we won three grants from Sutton Charities, Sutton Coldfield Town Council and Birmingham Airport Community Trust Fund. We are very grateful to them for their support
Subject to budget and with the agreement of Sutton Charities, we hope to then upgrade other parts of the Clubhouse
We have planned the works to minimise disruption and ensure people can always use the toilets. Your safety is important, it is very important to adhere to all signs at the Clubhouse during the works
If you have any questions about the refurbishment works, please contact David Ough at clubhouserefurb@gmail.com
We apologise for any mistakes we have made and for not communicating clearly what has been going on behind the scenes. We would like to thank you for your patience as it has been frustrating (especially regarding the showers).
