Welfare
- The club has a Welfare fund to support members with subscriptions, match fees, kit costs if needed. Please speak to a member of the membership team or your captain/coach if financial support would be helpful.
Junior Section
- U10s and U12s Girls and Boys are all entering 2 teams into the Warwickshire In2 Hockey competitions. The U10 tournaments are this Sunday and the U12s compete on March 22nd. Good luck to all teams competing.
- SCHC’s Talent Certification Developer, Henry Harrison, from England Hockey attended Junior Training on 1st March and gave very positive initial feedback. Thank you to all those who spent time with Henry during his visit.
Senior Section
- Congratulations to all the Mighty Pinks who have been selected to play Masters hockey in the coming months. For the England Masters Indoor World Cup in Nottingham 26th-31st March; O35s: Becky Batsford-Webb, Sue Wood, Sophie Manning, Emma McCabe, O40s: Charlene Mason, O45s: Vicky Woolford, O50s: Ali Mapp.
- Outdoor competitions - Women’s O35s: Sue Wood, Sophie Manning, Emma Gill. Wales O35s: Eli Best. Women’s O45s: Vicky Woolford, Men’s O35s: Oli Ward.
- The Women’s O45s and O35s are through to the quarter finals of their Cup competitions. O45s play Harrogate on Sunday, 1:15 pm at Wyndley.; O35s beat Khalsa Leamington 6-0 at the weekend and now play Clifton Robinson on 22nd March, 1:30pm at Wyndley. Good luck to the Men’s O45s playing Deeside Ramblers in the EH Vase on Sunday as well as the Men’s 1st team who have a home draw against Loughborough Town in the Quarter Final of the Tier 2 Plate, 3:00pm at Wyndley.
- Good luck to all teams for the remaining league matches this season, with a number of teams fighting to avoid relegation. A reminder to all teams that the 50% rule comes in for the last 4 games meaning players are not allowed to play for a lower team if they’ve played more than half their previous games for a higher team. Thank you to all captains for the hard work that has gone on each week to ensure all teams are competing.

- Upcoming socials: Women’s End of Season Dinner is on Saturday 21st March and Men’s End of Season Dinner on Saturday 28th March - both at the clubhouse. The Gala Ball is on Saturday 9th May at Aston Wood Golf Club.
Kit
- Feedback from players and families has been very positive about the Mizuno kit. We are looking to retain the current kit and, subject to sponsorship, sign a further 3 year contract with Speed One Sports and Mizuno.

Talent Academy
- The TA squads are participating in the next Midlands Hub events, with teams playing Beeston TA on Sunday.
AOB
- Umpiring: The club is running an Umpires evening on Monday 9th March 7-9pm, led by Rob Crosson. We would encourage all umpires, captains and anyone else who is interested to attend. Please sign up on Pitchero.
- A SCHC Discussion Forum is planned for Monday 23rd March at the Clubhouse, 7:15pm start. All members are welcome to come along and have input into shaping policy within the club. Topics will be shared in advance and members will be invited to sign up to the event on Pitchero.
- The club is now working with Utility Warehouse to promote their utility bundles. Anyone from Sutton who signs up raises money for the club, without costing you anything. For a free, no obligation chat about if they can save you money on your utilities please contact Maria Webb (07971 459619).
