On 21st July two Mighty Pinks joined The Queen’s Baton relay for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

Jane Sixsmith won a Commonwealth Games hockey silver medal with England in Kuala Lumpur in 1998. She carried the baton through Kingsbury Water Park

JoJo carried the baton in the Atherstone leg of the relay. She is representing South Midlands Performance Centre at the U15 PC Challenge Cup 26-28 July

We can’t wait for the hockey action which runs on every day of the competition from 29th July to 8th August

Sutton Coldfield HC also look forward to welcoming CWG hockey teams to our home pitch at Wyndley which is an official practice pitch for the tournament. We look forward to watching some of the best teams in the world training in Sutton Coldfield. Club legend Laura Unsworth will be returning to the pitch where her hockey career started as she represents England at the games
