They played Worcester in their 1st game, but a slow start was costly, at 2-0 down they had a chance to make it 2-1 but we didn't take it and Worcester scored 2 minutes later. The U14s were much better in the 2nd half and created lots of chances but didn't take them and it ended 4-1 to Worcester .

The 2nd match was against Beeston, a superb 1st half saw Sutton 2-0 up at half time. Beeston scored within the 30 seconds of the restart but the girls picked themselves up and played very well to win 2-1. Again they had lots of chances to make it more comfortable but we couldn't capitalise.

The last match was against eventual winners Wotton under Edge from Gloucestershire. With Sutton 2-0 down at half time, coach Chris Kent gave a great half time talk to them and the team played a fantastic second half, got one back with 4 minutes to go, then Scarlett Lander equalised with 5 seconds to go. The girls celebrated like they had won the tournament, which sums up the their fantastic attitude and fitness.

The whole squad performed admirably but in particular there were superb performances from Captain Trixie Kent, Florence Pugh, Scarlett Lander and Tilly Strachan.

All of this would not have been possible without our outstanding Lead Coach Chris Kent who has set the standards for the girls and his tactical and skill coaching have made the girls a very exciting group and we hope the Ladies 1st team will have lots of this team playing for them in the coming years. We are looking forward to next season.
