After a frustrating few weeks the Mighty Pinks M3 got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Finchfield M2.

Even though they were playing an unfamiliar 3-5-2 M3 dominated possession and took the lead from a fast break, Simon Willis picked out Spencer Gray-Nimmo who carried the ball into the D and found Harvey Kang who applied the finish. The lead doubled when Bolt coolly earned a short corner and when Willis’s flick was saved, Harvey Kang was there to get his second.

In the second half M3 continued to exert control and the visitors were restricted to occasional breaks, but they struggled to produce many D penetrations.

Sutton extended their lead when Spencer beat his marker all ends up and his cross was met on the far post by Dylan Mayne. Spencer then added a 4th himself. Man of the Match Stuart Cave had a commanding game as part of the back 3 and distributed the ball beautifully, but the icing on the cake was his goal. He made a penetrating run, carrying the ball into the D and forcing the keeper into a good save, Finchfield could not clear the ball and eventually it came back to Stuart who finished at the second attempt.

M3 stay in 4th place in NW Premier division and travel to Stone next week
