Sutton Coldfield M3 2 - 1 Olton & West Warwick M4

Olton turned up with 16 players and meant business from the start, M3 were pinned back for the first 15 minutes. But they stood firm and played their way into the game & had the better chances in the first half, although it ended 0-0

In a downpour Olton took the lead with the only time they managed to isolate keeper Bill Heywood with a 2 on 1.
Sutton thought they’d pulled it back when they had the ball in the goal, but the whistle had gone for a penalty flick. Sadly Steve Trivett put the ball high and wide (it’s still travelling )

Undaunted Sutton pushed high and kept the pressure on and got on equal terms when Man of the Match Jacob Lee gambled at the far post and netted for the equaliser. More Sutton pressure gave them the lead when Anton Lea bundled the ball home from close range.

The visitors threw everything at M3 seeking an equaliser, but the defence held firm and the whole team put a real shift in, keeping chances to a minimum. One off the post and a fine double save from Heywood were the closest they got.

M3 remain unbeaten and currently sit 3rd in SW Premier Division
